2009 Runway Show
Fashion In Winterland's first Runway Production was a totally wonderful
experience and one that can only be called a very valuable addition to all that
Los Banos has to offer.
Upon entering, one was greeted with just the right kind of music for this event. Waiting for the show to begin one could admire the tasteful decoration and watch last minute preparations. The audience was treated to baked goods, a wonderful assortment of jewelry, hats and a special touch of class by jewelry by Tracose, Owner and Designer, Mary Wilconson.
The curtain opened and the show began. The variety of garments was astounding Every hour of the day was covered. Considering some models were very young and fresh models, the choreographer Ms. Cristine Ribeiro performed a small miracle, they too looked like professionals. All Eyes On You Owner and Stylist, Lannette, did hair and face makeovers on most of the models.
The runway music was absolutely perfect because it not only inspired the models, but electrified the audience. The enthusiasm and enjoyment that the audience demonstrated could not have been greater. The applause of more than 300 guests was generous and almost nonstop. When Caidyn Lee emerged on the runway to the theme song 'Isn't She Lovely", the audience wept. She was simply lovely. When the all too short Runway presentation was over, the founder and producer, Elvira Grimes, gave a short speech followed by her husband acknowlegment of all the generous sponsors and contributors. On Ms. Grimes insistence, the Choreographer, Cristine Ribeiro greeted everyone with an accomplished professional model walk over the entire runway. The applause for her was thunderous. The audience was treated to a raffle and an auction of all the clothing, jewelry and accessories. This event was a resounding success and it can be safely assumed that it will be topped by the sequel next year.
Los Banos Ministries will work on upcoming projects with Ms. Ribeiro including the production of a TV mini series with Be That Kids Productions. A special treat that the models received was that six of them were chosen to be in a runway show on December 12th in Los Gatos , CA hosted by Be That Kids Production.
